Prepare Sundays Coming

4 Dec

Sunday is the start of the week and many of us start the week with praise to God by going to our local church. Being with believers is so important, and building spiritual friendships can help you stay encouraged.

My thought for the day is that when we attend church we should go with the plan on giving of ourself to others. To many times church is thought of as a receiving place.

Church should be attended with expectation of meeting God. God inhabits the praises of his people. Attend church full if you can, attending with an empty spiritual fuel tank is selfish and shows you are just there for your weekly dose of God.

Sometimes that us all we feel we can do but God says to stir yourself up. Dig into the Word and learn what God has for you everyday. I am guilty on doing this as well so don’t feel condemnation. I am sharing much of the struggles of my own life.

God tells us what to do freely but the doing itself is not always as easy as the instructions. God wants us to be prepared for His manifestation when the body of Christ joins together.

Come to Church expecting to receive from God but more so prepared to minister to Him. I guarantee a different church experience if you change this one thing in your life.

Live prepared for anything, the Word in your heart and the Name of Jesus on your Lips.

Have a great Sunday
Love You All,

Dream Big

Dream Big

Good Thursday Morning, life is so much fun when Jesus is in it. Not always easy but fun. If you believe the Word and know that You are able to do all things through Christ who strengthens you, then the fun is just beginning.

Think about your vision for the future. The one God himself has placed in your heart. Now see yourself accomplishing that vision, in it’s entirety. See how God is glorified by your actions. Now determine in your heart that nothing can stop you; because you have Faith in Christ who meets all your needs according to his riches in glory. Not according to your good works, or your ideas, or your passion, but because it was Gods vision from the start that he placed into your heart.

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:6

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.
Colossians 1:10

And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers.
Deuteronomy 30:9

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power.
2 Thessalonians 1:11

The Word speaks for itself. The Father puts a vision in your heart and He will bring it to pass. So when I say walking with Jesus is not easy but it is fun, I am talking about all the victories, the manifestation of Gods hand on your behalf. Watching the defeat of Satan no mater how many ways he attacks you. Seeing your vision come to full manifestation in this world in this time and through it all, God is glorified and Satan is defeated.

Glory to God, I might just start shouting.

You are victorious because of Christ, there is no room for pride or self, it is Christ in you the hope of Glory. Don’t just know who you are but know who’s you are.

Jesus is Alive and Lord of All.
I Love You All, share this Blog with your friends and lets get the Word out and encourage our brothers and sisters to Dream Big.

Christmas Celebration

29 Nov

Good Morning my Friends. Today is Tuesday, November is almost over and into December and the Celebration of Christ’s Birth. I have seen posts about the pagan rituals that Christmas came from and asking Christians to not celebrate Christmas using Old Covenant Law and Writings. I am here to declare that I am not bound by the Law because I am free in Christ. I can agree that the origins of Christmas may not have been holy, But Christians have taken back the meaning of Christmas. The Birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. We celebrate his very life everyday. We honor Christ’s Life by how we live our life everyday. So my question to all my friends is, asked in Grace, how are you sharing the Good News of Jesus during this Season. What are your plans to increase your witness in 2012. Pray, Plan, Grow, increase. This is my Prayer for you all, to my friends who don’t know Christ as your personal savior I ask you to just believe in faith to know Christ is real and that he died for you and rose again. That he has paid the price for all your pain, sickness, poverty, and doubt. Jesus is alive in me. I am available to pray with anyone of you at any time. (541)619-8868

Leaving the City of Regret

Leaving the City of Regret
by: Larry Harp

http://www.inspirationalstories.com/3/314.html

I had not really planned on taking a trip this time of year, and yet I found myself packing rather hurriedly. This trip was going to be unpleasant and I knew in advance that no real good would come of it. I’m talking about my annual “Guilt Trip.”

I got tickets to fly there on Wish I Had airlines. It was an extremely short flight. I got my baggage, which I could not check. I chose to carry it myself all the way. It was weighted down with a thousand memories of what might have been. No one greeted me as I entered the terminal to the Regret City International Airport. I say international because people from all over the world come to this dismal town.

As I checked into the Last Resort Hotel, I noticed that they would be hosting the year’s most important event, the Annual Pity Party. I wasn’t going to miss that great social occasion. Many of the towns leading citizens would be there.

First, there would be the Done family, you know, Should Have, Would Have and Could Have. Then came the I Had family. You probably know ol’ Wish and his clan. Of course, the Opportunities would be present, Missed and Lost. The biggest family would be the Yesterday’s. There are far too many of them to count, but each one would have a very sad story to share.

Then Shattered Dreams would surely make and appearance. And It’s Their Fault would regale us with stories (excuses) about how things had failed in his life, and each story would be loudly applauded by Don’t Blame Me and I Couldn’t Help It.

Well, to make a long story short, I went to this depressing party knowing that there would be no real benefit in doing so. And, as usual, I became very depressed. But as I thought about all of the stories of failures brought back from the past, it occurred to me that all of this trip and subsequent “pity party” could be cancelled by ME! I started to truly realize that I did not have to be there. I didn’t have to be depressed. One thing kept going through my mind, I CAN’T CHANGE YESTERDAY, BUT I DO HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE TODAY A WONDERFUL DAY. I can be happy, joyous, fulfilled, encouraged, as well as encouraging. Knowing this, I left the City of Regret immediately and left no forwarding address. Am I sorry for mistakes I’ve made in the past? YES! But there is no physical way to undo them.

So, if you’re planning a trip back to the City of Regret, please cancel all your reservations now. Instead, take a trip to a place called, Starting Again. I liked it so much that I have now taken up permanent residence there. My neighbors, the I Forgive Myselfs and the New Starts are so very helpful. By the way, you don’t have to carry around heavy baggage, because the load is lifted from your shoulders upon arrival. God bless you in finding this great town. If you can find it — it’s in your own heart — please look me up. I live on I Can Do It street.

The Stand of Faith

26 Nov

The Stand of Faith Daniel 3:16-18

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. 18 But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.”

Talk about A Great Stand of Faith.
How can this help you in your walk with the Lord in the 21st century?
I believe there are many area’s of our faith where we can make this stand.

#1: Stand against Fear

If we are in a situation where Fear raises its ugly head (sickness, disease, financial, family or work trouble), the God whom we serve is able to save us. But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, spirit of fear, we will not bow to you, we will continue to Stand in Faith.

#2 Stand against What We See

When what we see before us does not line up with the Word of God, we know the God whom we serve is able to change the situation. But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear, that what we see does not move us. We walk by Faith and not by Sight. We will not bow to what we see, we will continue to Stand in Faith.

#3 Stand against Circumstances

When Circumstances seem impossible, we know the God whom we serve is able to make the impossible possible. But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear, that we are not moved by our circumstances. We Call those things that be not as though they are, just like our Father Abraham. We will not bow to circumstances, We will continue to Stand in Faith believing that God will fulfill His promises to us.

#4 Stand against our Feelings

When Our feelings betray us, we know the God whom we serve has sent us his Word. But even if he hadn’t, we want to make it clear, that we are not moved by our feelings. We have the Holy Spirit that God sent us as a comforter to teach us the ways of God. We will not bow to our Feelings, we will continue to Stand in Faith believing the Word of God and the Leading of the Holy Spirit over our feelings.

These are just a few examples of how when we are placed in the Fire we can stand in our Faith and not Bow to the Pressure of this World. If God is your God, and Jesus is your Savior, and the Holy Spirit is your Comforter; You have all You need to Stand in the Fire.

Oh if you don’t know how this story ended the King had the furnace made seven times hotter than normal and threw the three Hebrew boy’s into the fire (killing those throwing them into the Fire). And the King saw a fourth person that to him “looked like the Son of the Gods” standing in the fire with the three.

The three boys walked out of the fire unharmed and the King declared that their God was God above all god’s.
If you stand in Faith and Believe in your God you too will walk out of the Fire.

Remember the 23 Psalm where it says even though I walk THROUGH the Valley of the Shadow of Death I will Fear no Evil.

Are God is the Greatest God and will honor your Faith in Him.

I love you all. Perry Martin
